Smart Restart takes a unique approach to PC antivirus protection. Rather than focusing on the latest viruses that could infect your system, their software simply resets your computer to the same system status as the previous boot.

Sounds nice, but it sounds like you would lose any software you have installed since your last reboot?

I think you disable the software during software installations then make the new image your clean boot.

If you want to install programs, turn the Smart Restart protection off, reboot and install what you need. Leave protection off until the program is fully installed, then turn the protection on and restart again. (Every change in protection status requires a restart.) It is as simple as that.
